Negative pregnancy test before missed period?

Missed period, negative pregnancy test and bleeding during intercourse?

  • the first day of my period was march 27th. a few days after my period ended, i had unprotected sex a few times with my boyfriend, i lightly bled. i missed my period in April and it is now the 11th of May, i had a pregnancy test at the hospital when i had pneumonia, they asked me if I was pregnant when I had to get an x-ray, I told them no, they came and told me I was then the nurse confirmed I wasn't and this was right after my period ended, I asked the doctor about the bleeding and he said this was normal. On the 9th of May, I took a pregnancy test and it said negative, I again had unprotected sex and I bled to where it looked like my period started but soon after it was gone. Does anyone know what this could be or what I should do? At the moment I dont have insurance so I cant go see a doctor. Any advice would help, and nothing negative! thanks.

I know I missed mine when I got sick, the pneumonia could have caused you to be late. A few years back, I got mono and missed three or four months. I knew I wasn't pregnant as I was a virgin. Planned Parenthood will help you out and they use a sliding scale for their fees. They'll probably have you take another pregnancy test and either give you a blood test or send you somewhere for one. They might or might not give you an ultrasound to confirm. If you'd like to bring on your period, vitamin c without bioflavinoids. Parsley tea is also good, as is ginger and dong quai.

Well first of all you should probably stop having unprotected sex, but that is your choice. The bleeding could be a number of things. I have experienced something similar and it just turned out that my body was all messed up for some reason and it fixed itself. But the doctors tested me for all sorts of things such as an infection, an STD, tumors, cysts, etc. Are you in any pain? If not then it probably isn't anything to serious. I would recommend seeing a doctor. If you live near a Planned Parenthood you can have an exam done there for cheap. If you are really concerned, it is always best to seek medical help. I hope everything works out!
