How do I set up a Paypal account?

How do you set up you paypal account to be able to receive money?

  • I just made a paypal account and im trying to sell a dress on Ebay but i don't think that i have my account set up to be able to receive money. How can i do that?

  • Answer:

You are already set to receive money; payments sent to the email address you registered with PayPal will land in the account and wait there until you re-spend or withdraw it. That 'withdrawal' could be as a check mailed to you for a small fee, or as a direct deposit to your checking account with a few days' waiting period. To link your checking account, pull down the "Profile" menu and choose "Add or edit bank account." However, if you would like to receive payments originating from a customer's credit card (recommended - it's more convenient for them), you need to upgrade to the "Premier" level. It doesn't cost anything to have a Premier account, and there aren't any extra fees beyond the 3% they already charge.

right when you sign up for paypal it is setup for that. i have one and frequently sell my stuff on paypal,, it goes to mine(yours) paypal account ballance now you can use that paypal account balance to buy other things offline, ebay or pay a 3 dollar transaction fee to have it mailed to you as a check.. remember though you dont get the money immediately usually mine takes two weeks for me to have access to it.
