What would a one-week trip to the UK cost?

How much a would a 4 week trip of America cost from the UK?

  • Hello, I am from the UK and plan to travel to America some time next year with some friends, we will all be 20 by that time, we want to start in somewhere like Florida and we would like to go to Texas, New York and all of California. We don't know whether to get something like a campervan and drive everywhere, or fly to each place and stay in hotels... whatever works out cheapest to be honest. We obviously would like to spend some money on clothes and want some decent food, so if anyone could help me out here and give me the prices of say; Petrol, hotels, car renting, campervans, food, shopping and maybe some sort of events, that'd be great! Also if you could let me know in pounds as well as dollars :)

    Firstly, I think you need to be at least 25 to rent a car, and the insurance is about £400+.

You need to do your own homework, but a trip like this will cost thousands- 1. cost of flights 2. cost of van hire plus insurance plus fuel 3. any accommodation costs 4.food Have you any idea of the distance between Florida, New York,Texas and California?? My son is 28, visits the USA 4 times a year, he bases himself in Orlando, he then gets a hire car, and will drive to the likes of Miami and Tampa, but flies to New York, You will struggle to hire anything at 20 in the States, and remember you can't drink alcohol either until you are 21 New York is very expensive so look at hostels, not hotels Accommodation elsewhere should be motels or apartments, not hotels

you can rent a car from Hertz car rental, they will slap a surcharge ontop but it's worth it if there's a group of you...

dont do it mate, save money and go to republic of georgia instead. its a great tourist destination and they love tourists. if you come to USA you will get raped and your money will all be spent in a new york minute and you will be traumatised mentally for the rest of your life... trust me check out Tbilisi Georgia they love UK tourists go spend your money there.....
