Should I tape my sprained ankle for swim practice?

I sprained my ankle playing soccer a little over a week ago and immediately went to a sports physical therapist who gave an air boot and crutches for a week, I just got off the crutches and am walking on it... Anyways she told me its up to me wether I want to tape or not for practice.. It's a pretty high caliber practice as I'm on team Alberta and trying for team Canada in June. Should I tape it or just leave it? There is no swelling. Thanks!

Answer:
Taping doesn't work as it comes undone and it's too difficult to gauge how tight it should be for full range of motion. If it's sore or you want to be on the safe side then try a stretchy bandage and wrap it then tuck or tie the end. It wont come undone and can be adjusted more easily than the tape.

If I were you, I'd really try to avoid taping it. You might just have to take it easy on kicking and not be a maniac with your turns for a few days.

Actually, swimming is good for it, it made my ankle feel amazing when i hurt it.
