What are some good school fundraising ideas?

I'm part of a high school charity and I could really use some good fundraising ideas?

• Our goal is to travel to Uganda our senior year (we're currently at the end of our sophomore year) to help improve the water quality over there by installing rain collection tanks. So far, we have $900 saved up in our account, but unfortunately, there are seven of us and for all of us to go it will cost $25,000. We are in desperate need of simple, fast, and CHEAP fundraising ideas! Do any of you have any good ideas???

  I used to do this for my chorus/theater troupe in high school. The one thing we did that made a lot of money was a Dessert Cabaret. We got different groups to sign up doing one-act plays, songs, instrumentals, comedy whatever, its a cabaret, and then we asked local businesses to donate the desserts (and made some our selves) we built all the sets and got businesses to donate prizes to a silent auction where the proceeds go to your trip. and we charged $10 per ticket. We also panhandled for money since we were a choir. We did concerts for the local Lions club for sponsorship to a competition. There is also that site Kickstarter, but idk how that works with High school groups. But also put jars around town with a little description what you are striving for. Try and find investors and hold a little presentation that outlines what you are going to be doing there to help the situation. See who will donate. FOr this sort of thing you might even want to alert your local news station to get people interested.
