How to separate caffeine in soft drinks?

How does the caffeine in energy drinks compare to that in coffee?

  • I drink roughly about four or five 250ml cans of energy drink a week (usually Redbull or KX) and I know its bad for me, but I was just wondering how caffeine in energy drinks is apparently worse than coffee. My friend moans when I have one can a day, but I see her drinking four of five cups of coffee a day . . .

  • Answer:

Caffeine in coffee is real coffee. Energy drinks are just sugar

Stop it. Those drinks are crap. The caffeine in them is the same as in coffee, but the doses are much higher. Also, it might seem different, because it's combined with different ingredients compared to coffee. But seriously. Stop drinking that crap. You even know it's bad for you, so stop drinking it. And don't start coffee in response. Just... be health. Do healthy stuff. EDIT: Glass Joe absolutely does not know what he's talking about, one of the many flaws in Yahoo Answers. It does contain caffeine, in pretty high doses, just in a different context. Joe, please make sure you know what you're talking about before you reply. Geez.
