What are the Must Do's at the Eagles Carnival?

1990s Buffalo Bills vs Philadelphia Eagles of the 2000s?

• This annoying co-worker at work is an Eagles fan and I always have to hear about the eagles from him. Today was no different, usually I just tune him out like the rest of the mouth-breathers at my job but this time it was different. He went on about how the Eagles had "success" in the mid-2000s and how those were some of the best teams to never win a Super Bowl and how they were like the Bills of the 90s. I then said, "woah, woah, woah"...Are you kidding me? He then said "YES! They came so close"...I'm like close? What do you consider closer than missing a 47-yard field goal down by a point with the Super Bowl on the line? He then screamed about how the Eagles were close in 2004. The Bills did get blown out in their other Super Bowls but at least they made it that far. Is it me or was I just the only one who thought the Eagles during those years of conference championship losses weren't anything special? They had McNabb and kept losing in the Conference game but then they added T.O. (arguably the best WR in the league at the time) and he got them over that hurdle. In the end, you can say both teams came out with nothing. I felt the Eagles took advantage of a weak conference in 2004. In reality, there was probably 4 or 5 teams in the AFC that would have beaten the Eagles in the Super Bowl, including T.O.'s ankle injury. They beat a horrible 8-8 Vikings team in the DIVISIONAL round and a pedestrian Falcons team in the Championship. The Bills had to deal with the Dolphins, Raiders, and had an amazing come back against the Oilers during those years. If those Eagles teams were so great then why did they get knocked off by (and I use this term loosely) "out of no where teams" such as Tampa Bay and Carolina. The Eagles of the 2000's weren't anything worth noting. Why remember a team that LOST 4 out of 5 CONFERENCE championship games? I thought by the 10 year mark since those Eagles teams I wouldn't have to be hearing about it, but for some reason someone still brings up those years as if they should be noted. Again, both teams come away with nothing but at least the Bills won 4 conference games in a row and the Eagles lost 3 in a row and then again. If the 1990 Bills were to face the 2004 Eagles on their best day I think they'd smoke them.

  With you on that one, I know Bills werent great in the super bowls, but at least they made it. The eagles are the lamer, more pathetic version of the bills. The Bills team was better too, in personality and performance. Take Kelly, Thomas, Bruce Smith, and Andre Reed over those eagles any day.
