What are some similarities between Hamlet and Claudius?

How is Hamlet a coward when it comes to killing his Uncle Claudius?

• I have to do a debate about whether Hamlet is a coward or not. My sub-topic is; how is Hamlet a coward when it comes to killing Claudius. I'm not even sure where to start with this debate. I need 4 key arguments and proofs but the only one I can think of is that he put it off for a very long time. If anyone could help me at all it would be greatly appreciated:)

  Hamlet may be considered a coward due to his procrastination when it comes to killing Claudius. He continues to wait, contemplate, and attempt to plan the way in which to kill Claudius and successfully get revenge. Hamlet also passes up an opportune moment to kill Claudius when Claudius appears to be praying. Hamlet wants to go ahead and do the deed, but he decides to wait because he fears that the "Villain" will go to Heaven if Hamlet kills him while he is praying. Keep in mind that Claudius is not actually praying, he just appears so to Hamlet. If Hamlet had gone ahead and killed him, his task would have been completed, thus helping to prevent the tragic ending.
