Well Betta fish get along with the other fish in my aquarium?
-
I have 2 black mollies 1male 1 female, 3red eye tetras, 3 neon tetras and a sucker fish I want some color in my tank and I love bettas. It's a ten gallon tank

Answer:
Sometimes they will, sometimes they won't. Get the betta used to seeing the other fish by either isolating him inside the tank or keep him next to the tank until he gets used to the other fish and no longer sees them as invaders but accepts them as tank mates.

No, you can not get a betta. Your tank is overstocked, and poorly stock. Mixed sex mollies should be in nothing less than a 30 gallon, they should also be in brackish water. Neon tetras and red eye tetras should be in a group of at least 6 and in a 20 gallon tank. Sucker fish? What's a sucker fish? A pleco? What kind? There are no suitable plecos for a 10 gallon, most plecos require 30-150+ gallons. Get rid of your fish and stock your tank with fish that are actually suitable. Try doing some research before buying.

NO. Your tank is already overstocked. Black mollies should have 30 gallons, not to mention all the other fish you have in there.
Bette fish will not get along with smaller nippy and colourful fish. Plus that tank is far too overstocked. Are you trying to kill these fish?

Betta fish being solitary is a myth I have a female betta in my community tank and it is fine. As for male some do some don't so I would get a female just to be safe.

no. your tank is already over stalked. you should try doing research on the fish before getting them. also, a beta wouldn't get along too well with these guys because they would nip at it too much, stress it out, and maybe even make it die.

it will probably kill the little fishes :/ a female betta will be less likely to be aggressive and you can have more then one but they are not as colorful, best bet is to just not get a betta tho

No, the beta might attack the colorful fish such as the tetra's Also your tank has many problems: 1. Your tank is overstocked. 10 gallons for all those fish is WAY too small 2. What kind of sucker fish? If it's a pleco, some can grow HUGE and can be aggressive. If it's a corydora, they should be in schools of 3 or more (tank already overstocked) 3. Mollies need 30 gallons 4. Neon's need schools of at least 6 - 8 fish (tank already overstocked) So, your tank is already a mess.

your tank is way overstocked. ive kept a male betta with most of those fish (just not the red eye tetras). but your mollies need at least 30 gallons, the neon tetras should be in groups of 6 and need at least 20 gallons, the sucker fish (if you mean a pleco) will need 30 gallons if its one of the smaller species or a minimum of 55 gallons if its one of the larger species.
