Male lion vs 15 male humans, winner?

• I keep reading about how humans are so weak compared to other predators, so how about if we use the pack method and outnumber our opponent, would it work? The humans had no weapons, just bare hands. How about if all the men had knifes? Would that make a difference?

  in the unlikely event that 15 people confronted a lion, like they stumbled through the bush, if the lion could retreat it probably would, if you watch wild life programs animals have an uncanny ability to assess mass, 15 humans would outweigh one male lion. You see this when lions confront hyenas, its not numbers that count its weight. If the animal was cornered, and 15 people confronted & surrounded it, then one swipe of its paw would quickly reduce the odds in the lions favour as would the snarling and bearing of teeth, humans would soon lose heart, become scared & run away. look on youtube, there is a clip of 4 masai warriors confronting 4 lions at a kill, they have come for a share of the meat. They stay together and walk straight at the lions, the lions run away, a fight with humans is probably not worth it for them. there are also more depressing footage of indian villagers surrounding & killing a tigress, they kill her with clubs. She doesn't fight back. I suppose it depends on the animal and how scared they are.
