What are some important laws I should know before going to Oman and Pakistan ?

    well in Pakistan, no need to worry.... its a islamic nation but it has no islamic law, karachi is more open, i dont know about other cities and yes alcohol is available but you are not allowed to drink public i think.... also watch out, the over all situation of Pakistan is not so good as most foreigners are targets of terrorist or other anti state elements and usually kidnap and demand ransom so i would say do not come here.... we are fighting with these talibans(who in reality did not ever read the quran or any islamic book and were brain washed) and anti state elements...in about 10 years things will go to be better but i do not see any big change before that and over all security..... dont know anything about oman, you can search about it on wikipedia..... We will inshaAllah defeat them, but its important that the international community dont put to much pressure, like it is now, we are already engaged in the afghan border and Baluchistan,... well this is another debate i can go on and on about it..... however no drugs of any kind and try to keep a low profile.... dont go on the beach in the bikini, you will get embarrassed, tell me if you decide to go on a bikini, i will come and see what i dont see usually..... hahah just kidding...... the laws are pretty much the same as in your country and yes dont say something wrong about the religion of islam to anyone.... you might get in big trouble for that..... i personally feel there should be an open debate so that people could see which religion is better and decide for themselves.... however thats not important just take care and be safe..... but you should have someone in Pakistan and oman that know you, like friends or stuff so that if anything bad happens(may that never happen.Amen) he/she can inform the authorities....till then take care and choose wisely

try to cover your body and avoid nudity you know people here in few areas are like staring foreign pople so that you wont feel uncomfortable.wearing jeans doesnt matter. avoid alcohol.try not to go out alone. and my advice,avoid interacting with people you dont know much. dont keep much cash while going out and try using a cheaper fone if you go to the street market. you dont need to worry beacuse you are quite safe in malls and etc public places but in few areas in streets you need to be a little bit careful.

urm drinking alcohol although many people still drink in Pakistan, not sure about Oman but probably the same. urm dressing modestly, you don't have to wear the hijab, alot of women on Pakistan don't wear it but as long as you are dressing modest and not showing off body parts other than the obvious face and hands etc. hmmm... some advice try and dress modest in Pakistan to avoid unwanted unnecessary attention/harassment. ( i know how the Pakistani guys think), other than that blasphemy can get you arrested and punished so be careful, i can't think of any more

Pakistan. Dress proper. Honestly the guys are creepers. Try to buy some cloths as soon as you get there. You'll feel hot so the local clothing is a good idea. Its not nessary to cover your head but you don't want to draw extra attention to yourself. Make sure you keep money in your bra or something and avoid going out at night alone in the rural areas. You'll be fine. See if you can hire a driver and rent a car for the time you are there. Where abouts are you going? I've been there plenty so I may be able to help you out or tell some friends to look out for you if you need. Oman is pretty okay. Much safer and really beautiful. I would try to get clothing for there to. You should be fine there. I vacationed there and that was fun. Just be careful in Pakistan though okay. Have a safe trip =]
