What should Taiwan do if China attacks the Philippines?

well personally i think the answer to this question depends on china-taiwan relations or PRC-ROC relations(to be more correct and less separatist...) remember mainland china and taiwan both belong to CHINA, but this CHINA is still disputed, the mainlanders say its the PRC while the people(pro-KMT to be exact) on taiwan say its the ROC. if either mainland china or taiwan gets control over Huangyan island(and as long as CCP and KMT won't start a war against each other), the island will still be part of the whole CHINA right? I think as long as the Huangyan island ACTUALLY belongs to china, and PRC and ROC won't get aggressive with each other, and they would share the island after its back in chinese control, then taiwan(ROC) should give help to the mainland(PRC) because after all, we are all chinese and it would be a battle not for the PRC but all of CHINA! but mainland is an authoritarian state therefore the people there won't get a say at whether going to war or not(however most people in the PRC want to get huangyan island back so in this case the CCP and the people would actually be on the same side). However the ROC is now a democracy and about 40 something percent of the people voted for the DPP this year so I'm not sure whether the ROC as a whole would want war or not :/ so yeah as i said in the 3rd paragraph before, as long as blah blah blah(can't be bothered to repeat the whole paragraph...) then the ROC should fight for the whole CHINA!!
