How long does it take for chicken pox to go away?

  • I noticed the spots yesterday and more have appeared today. So how long until they go away completely? I've been told you can't go into the sun when you have chicken pox and I'm going on holiday on the 23rd of June, will they be completely gone by then? I also have an ulcer at the back of my throat and swollen glands, is this caused by chicken pox?

  • Answer:

u will be fine by 23 june. it usually lasts about 10 days. you are not infectious once the last spot has scabbed over and u dont have any new ones. yes the ulcers and swollen glands are caused by the chicken pox if it gets worse or you feel worse then please see your doctor you may have a secondary infection. hope you feel better soon.

unless you get scars by picking at them they will be completly gone by then. you mostlikely have nothing to worry about. and the swollen glands and ulcer can be possible side affects of chicken pox
