How to resolve HTTP Error 500.24?

XP Mode Application Error?

• When I try to run an old Visual Basic application in XP Mode (because I upgraded the PC to Windows 7), I get an error regarding the retrieval of a COM class. Here is a screenshot of the error: http://tinypic.com/r/2zzhpau/6 The program works flawlessly on any XP computer, but for some reason I keep getting this error in XP Mode. Does anyone know how to resolve this issue and enable my program to function in XP Mode?

  have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling .net? that's what VB runs on. if the files are corrupted, it could do this. overheated computer could also cause this (should clean cpu cooler every year). if it's a laptop,have it cleaned, also,use a laptop cooler pad $20-60. 3rd link is the service departments where you can find a local shop that will clean your laptop. you should also reinstall the app. repair your filesystem, and defrag if you are not using an SSD on that drive.
