What are my chances of getting into the UC Davis and/or UC Santa Barbara Waitlists?
-
I've been waitlisted as a freshman for Fall 2012. Also, I've been waiting since May 1st to hear back from them and I haven't heard anything yet. I really hope I get into one of these colleges or I'll have to go to Cal Poly SLO, UC Riverside, or a community college.

Answer:
At this point, I'd say that it is unlikely that you will get in off the waitlist. The SIR deadline for those colleges was May 1 so if they were going to admit off the waitlist, they would likely have done it by now. Have you already submitted your SIR for one of those other colleges? You don't have to give up hope until you hear from UCD and UCSB for sure, but I'd definitely recommend making sure that you're happy with your other choice.
