Why does America support Israel so much?

Because the American leaders have sold out Americas interest for the zionist interest. The U.S. government is infact controlled by the zionist, there are many zionist in congress and they control most of the mass media. They have their interest and the politicians have theirs and the American peoples interest comes after theirs.

What's interesting is that Muslims are extremely anti-gay, but liberals think they just need to be understood. They sympathize with them, but not Christians, who they decry. Dan Savage would never sabotage Achmadinejad's presence on Google and he brutally EXECUTES gay people, but he did do it to Santorum. Go figure. The Palestinians also have a record of actual hostility to gays, but liberals won't say a word. In the name of diversity, of course.

I know that I probably won't get best answer but this is just ridiculous! guess what? I'M A PALESTINIAN. I am christian though and My mom is american so I live in america but I was raised in my family's refugee camp and now i go there every summer so I am very close to them. I just commented to clear up some of the misconceptions... First, to answer your question... it's basically because Israel is an ally and because they are extremely wealthy and influential. now, I'm going to clear up the misconceptions about palestinians... 1. about homosexuals... my male best friend is gay and two of my female friends are lesbians, and I love them with my life. And i was raised with those "palestinians that execute gay people" You do understand that there are gay people in the refugee camps and they are still alive right? yes, there are muslims who despise homosexual as there are also christians, jews, atheists, etc. Why say just palestinian muslims? Most of the people in the camp are fine with them. 2. palestinians did send rockets, but guess what? If you went through all of that crap, with Israel killing palestinians and palestinian children and you had a chance to throw rockets at the army that may have killed your friends or your family, you would do it. doesn't mean it's right but those are just human reactions to your feelings of rage and sadness. AND THE PALESTINIANS ROCKETS ARE NOT OF THE SAME MAGNITUDE AS THE ISRAELI'S ROCKETS AND MISSLES FROM AMERICA! 3. and seriously, people being put inside of camps and being killed by the country/state they are in because of their race... doesn't that sound a little familiar about what israel had to go through? 4. Muslims are not savages. islam doesn't say to kill or anything. on the contrary they are supposed to pray five times a day and not curse and give 5 percent of their money to charity (no lie). you think that because of what you see on t.v. but I can recall christians killing brutally like the romans back in the day and america now has killed children too, not as much as other places but still... no matter what state or country you are in, there will almost always be a history of killings. I hate that fact, but it's the truth. 5. My family back at the camp are amazing people. If you visited them you would be treated like loyalty! If you said, oh, that table looks nice, they would try to give it to you! They know I am christian and they know that I love homosexuals and they know that I have Israeli friends. and they don't judge me. so please don't go assuming things about the palestinians. but one of the stereo types are true... they are hotheaded! lol. That's the only one I believe. do you even know how the camp is like? their food is low quality and they only have limited things there. there are bombed buildings and they are trying to rebuild and a lot of the camp is mostly made up of narrow alleys... it's sad but for america... they do have a habit of doing things in their benefit and nobody else. No, not america, just the government. @ls: There are many muslims as you say that kill because they say that the q'uran says to kill other religions and that islam is the only religion allowed to live and go to heaven and other proposterous things such as those. And there are palestinians like that as well, I'm just saying that a lot of people thinks that EVERY muslim is like that and on the contrary, islam is not like that. Such as a catholic saying that everybody who's not catholic will go to hell. it doesn't say that in the bible either. I know about the muslim religion because my dad had me read the q'ran. and i DID NOT say that they are their ally because they are wealthy and influential. I said that they are an ally AND it helps that they are wealthy and influential as well. 2: wheter they try hard to minimize civilian death, which is good... but the point is that palestinians still die. it's been one thousand and three hundred in counting. a person brought up to the israeli's about the palestinian's freedom and they closed it off and ignored the speaker. it was their home too. 3: They aren't trying to destroy israel. that is stupid. They're trying to be free again. do you even know what conditions they live under? would you like pictures? because i do have them. and by the way, My uncle is israeli so i'm not racist towards them and it doesn't match up to the holocaust by any means at all, but it could become like that if israeli gets tired of them. you said yourself that the israeli's could have destroyed them decades ago. 4: I do agree with you to a point though. The palestinians are stupid. I already told my family, you have to use your head and not your fist all the damn time! there will never be peace this way, I know. I just don't think it's right that the palestinians are one of the few, if not the only race that are not free.

This is Middle Eastern Conflicts 101, so if you didn't catch this detail right off the bat then I have to assume that you know nothing the Middle East.. That, and because they do not have to send soldiers out to places where American soldiers are, just because they are allies. They are a separate country, with their own government, their own military, their own laws, their own policies. They don't have to join us at war. Israel was won in the same way that Louisiana was won from France.
