What to pack for summer camp?

3-week summer camp: what clothes should I pack?

• I'm going off to a 3-week summer camp (more like a college experience program where I'll be living in the dorms), and I'm wondering what I should pack in terms of clothes. Should I bring enough clothes for the entire 3 weeks, or should I pack lighter? And how many pairs of shoes should I bring? Most kids are coming from out-of-state, and I live a few minutes away by car, but I still don't want to excessively overpack even though I don't have to pay luggage fees. I was thinking of just packing 3 full weeks (if I can stuff that into my suitcase... but it's summer clothes, so they'll be lighter), 2 pairs of flip flops, 1 pair of flats, 1 pair of sneakers, and 1 pair of hiking boots (hiking boots are required). But then I thought I might be overpacking. Any thoughts? Any specific number of shoes, tops, shorts, etc.? (Note: It's usually 80 to 90 degrees in the summer here.)

  Bring clothes for the full duration and if your worried about too much take 2 pairs of jeans and jean shorts that you can mix and match with different shirts. Shoes, it is good to maybe have a pair of sneakers, 2 pairs of sandals/flip-flops, and maybe a pair of heels if you have a dinner or something, if not replace with another pair of sneakers or ballerina flats. If hiking boots are required... bleh... then you have to. But since it is that kind of a camp then maybe only take one pair of jeans and take several different pairs of shorts I'd say 5. Then a different shirt for each day.. I know it is a lot but I hate wearing the same thing twice around the same people, so that would be 21 shirts... But since it will be mostly tank tops then you should be fine. Don't forget essentials... makeup, chargers, and sanitary items (aka pads/tampons) and take advil and tylenol just in case... you never know. but most importantly have fun :)
