Why are my triglycerides too low?

If I have low triglycerides, does that mean I don't have insulin resistance?

  • My triglycerides vary from 45-70, which seems to be WELL under the limit. I'm 27, athletic body, low body fat content, healthy eater and physically active. Blood sugar typically runs just above 100....it has been the case for the past 5 years, and it hasn't really gone up.

  • Answer:

Triglycerides have nothing to do with insulin resistance .
