Can you buy horse ribbons?

What do you do if you have a ton of ribbons you and your horse have won?

  • I have been competing on my Quarter horse Welsh pony mix for a few years and we have nearly covered my bedroom wall in ribbons. Now I am wondering what the rest of those who show do with their ribbons if they want to display them but don't really want to make a quilt out of them. The thing is the backs of the ribbons say what show the ribbon was won at and what class it was won in plus if it was the Welsh mix, the Spanish Mustang or the American Paint Horse that I was riding in the class.

In my daughter's room we have plastic coated wire grids( from a garden centre) hung on hooks on the wall. The rosettes are clipped through the wire mesh until you cannot see the wire any more. This looks really nice and is easy to take down for decorating etc. :))

I left them at my grandparents house when i moved out. What I didn't do was go online and brag about them.

Dedicate a room in your house to them. I call it my trophy room. It is where I keep thinks like ribbons, trophies, medals and women.

Organize them by color and put them on your walls forming a picture

I would put them up on the wall, and take a whole bunch of pictures! Get the horse and yourself in there as well. Then, I would take them down so they wouldn't get too ruined. Keep a few in my room, or around the house. I have never won ribbons for my pony. Only the Hereford steers. SO, I am very anxious as I am competing this weekend (for the very first time) in a novice western pleasure, and a novice western equestrian with my welsh pony!!! Ah, so afraid haha!

I put them in storage unless they are champion or reserve ribbons. Those I have hanging around my room

Leave your champion ribbons up because those are the most impressive. You can put others in a box or maybe you can hang them up somewhere in you living room/family room so other people can see them. You could also bring some to your barn or wherever your horse lives and you could hang some on his stall. Good luck at your shows!!

When I got my first bunch of ribbons, I threw them in the air and rolled about in the. Then I took the less lovely ones and put them in a case and stacked them in my closet. The nicer ones stayed up.

My barn is a show barn. So I give them to my instructer/ barn mamager to hang them up in the barn untill the show season is over. when I get them back, I have special box I put them in.
