How do you block someone specifically from Facebook chat but not Facebook entirely?

Facebook: Is there a way to block someone from messaging you without deleting them from your friends list?

• Can you block someone's messages to you without blocking them from your actual friends list? don't tell me about the chat thing either because I've already done that. I blocked someone on facebook chat already but is there any conceivable way I can block them from MESSAGING me (I don't want to delete them from my friends list)? Not that it matters, but I have the new Timeline thing. I seriously wish Fb had a feature that enables you to block someone's messages to you without deleting them from your friends list (u_u) --> but if anyone DOES have an answer for this question, feel free to post! I actually even tried the Group setting so I could separate the people I do talk to from the people I don't want to talk to, but on the Timeline, I don't know how to do it. :( If you have any idea how to simply make it so people cant message you on facebook without blocking them, OR if you know how to set up a group on the new Timeline feature to separate the people you do want to talk to from the ones you don't, PLEASE let me know ASAP!   Why you want to disable someone to messaging you. Go to message page. Than try to setting option. I think you will able to find something.
