Why doesn't my computer alert me of new e-mail?

Steam account recovery without email please help!!?

• hey guys, i have a steam account and on my old laptop, my email was repeatedly hacked and hacked, so i closed it down and didnt really use steam anymore, cos all i played on it was team fortress 2. but anyway, my steam account was registered to that email, that was hacked and hacked. so now i have my new computer and bought MW3 on it, but now when i log onto steam (yes i know my account name and password) it says hello! we see that you are logging on from a new computer! and send me an email with a verification code to the email that was shutdown! and i have no choices of recovering it using that email cos its shut down! how do i un-register my account from that closed down email to the new email or how do i regain access to it without using that closed down email? it doesnt make sense?

  My account and email were hacked yesterday. I contacted Steam support, but no reply yet.
