What is the feasibility of encasing matter in a gravity bubble and accelerating the space around that matter.?
-
So I have a limited understanding of Quantum Mechanics but I understand the basics. I believe the world may be looking at HyperSpace travel in the wrong light. Suppose instead of accelerating the matter itself you accelerate the space in which the matter resides. To do this you would need to encase the object of matter in a gravity bubble and then accelerate the area around the matter. My questions are 1) What is the feasibility of encasing matter in a sustainable gravity bubble in space 2) Is it feasible to accelerate the area around the matter without destroying the matter itself and 3) If both are feasible then what formula would you use to calculate the amount of energy required to make such a thing work. I am asking this in all seriousness so if anyone has any ideas or theories that may be of use please let me know

Answer:
Wow. If you figured this out based on your own understanding of quantum mechanics, that is quite a feat. Considering that QM doesn't deal with space-time, quite a feat. I don't suppose you meant General Relativity? Given your statements being so wide of the mark, I question (trying to be polite here) your ability to actually formulate a coherent hypothesis. Since this idea has been discussed for at least 40 years, I suspect it is not an original thought from a world class thinker. But, I could be wrong. I actually hope I am wrong. The feasibility is zero. There is no feasibility in your concept. This is based on what we know now. Go for it. Prove me wrong.

I don't think anyone knows how to create gravity. It's a fixed force that varies only by mass and distance.
