What do I need to make my printer work?

• I have an HP Officejet 4500 Wireless All-in-One Printer in my office. I have 5 computers running through the wireless router and I need them all to communicate with the one printer. I've been pouring over data for the past hour to try to make sense of all this. Is there anyone out there that can help me with my office woes?

  There are options directly on the HP office jet to connect it directly to the wireless router. Usually you will find a menu button on the front to access those options. You can also connect the printer to a computer temporarily and during the software install, there should be an option to configure the printer to be connected wirelessly. Once you've configured the printer to connect to the wireless router, you would run the install software on each computer you want to have access. During the install, you should be asked if your connecting to the printer wirelessly. The software should locate the printer and set it up and install it. I know in Windows 7 and Vista, you can also go into the printer control panel and Add Printer and during the process you should be asked if it's a network printer and you should be able to browse and find the connected printer and set it up that way. However, in many cases this limits the functionality of the printer so I would advise going through the software install route.
