Copy/Pasting values from Excel to other programs?
-
I have a formula that begins with: ="input" And in the cell it appears correctly as input But when I try to copy and paste this outside of Excel, it appears as "input In essence, the quotation mark from the formula becomes visible. How do I prevent this? The only advice I've seen related to this is Paste Special, but that doesn't apply outside of Excel. Is there no way to COPY the value and not the formula?

Answer:
You can just enter it as text. Instead of ="input" enter input Excel treats it as a text string (General format) and copying it shouldn't result in quotation marks being added.
