Where can I download a video editing software for free?

Good Video editing software that I can download (preferably free!) ?

  • Hey I've recorded a few videos on my Iphone and imported them onto my computer. Now Id like to merge them all into one video and cut some scenes out - does anybody know of video editing software that can do this? Im a complete rookie and will only use the software this one time so Id prefer it to be free. Thanks everyone

Free? Well, YouTube has a pseudo-editor built in for when you upload videos. Unless you have a Mac with iMovie or a Windows computer with Movie Maker, you'll have to pay for something (unless you resort to 'other means'). Good paid software includes Sony Vegas, Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premier, etc.

Since you want to cut and join multiple videos, there are no free apps. However, since it is only once that you will do video editing why not download video editors for Mac which come with a trial period. There are well known apps like iMovie, which does provide a trial version.
