Is national agents alliance a good company to work for?

RXrelief card healtcare alliance Stanford health alliance?

  • So this really isn't a question but more of an observation. Yesterday I received a pharmacy discount card from Stanford health care alliance. I didn't really think much of it just threw it on the kitchen table. Today I received a second card this one from Health-care Alliance. This is what made me think twice. I have great health insurance that I pay out of pocket for so this isn't something that I would have requested. After doing a little research I found that the cards seem to have the same BIN, GRP and PCN numbers. Everyone is getting the same cards. Looking though peoples conversations with each other the big topic is weather or not this company can steal your personal information. Just because your name is not on the card and you don't have to sign up for anything doesn't really mean anything. People can do anything with a computer now. You have no idea if once these cards are entered into the pharmacy computer you are making yourself vulnerable. Any person anywhere with the right skill can make a web page that looks like it belongs to a reputable company. A lot of people are saying "you can't get something for nothing". Just because it looks good from the surface you could really be screwing yourself. Just be careful if what you are opening yourself up to. If you are in need of a RX discount card that badly speak to your pharmacist they will be more than willing to give you names of legitimate companies that can help you. If you have script that is extremely expensive talk to your doctor about the paperwork you can fill out for the drug company to cover the expense. Doing a little work is much better then letting all your personal information get out. Skilled hackers need very little.

  • Answer:

Hello. I am a representative from the RxRelief Card and the Healthcare Alliance, and we like to keep an eye out for these sorts of things. The RxRelief Card is NOT affiliated with the Stanford Health Alliance. We are an entirely separate company. Our BIN and PCN numbers should not match, as they are reflective of our different discount providers. And, to correct a few observations made: our prescription discount program is HIPAA compliant. We are aligned with pharmacy benefit manager Catalyst Rx, and follow the same rules and regulations that are in place any time a prescription is processed. Our program is free of charges. There are no strings attached.

Oh yeah "The RxRelief Card is HIPAA compliant. Our program is free of charges. There are no strings attached." That is what every one of those cards say. If they are so squeaky clean, why are they trolling the message boards about this? What are they afreid of?
