How can i go back to the original facebook layout?

Facebook timeline still showing as old profile?

• Just under a week ago my mate posted a status on Facebook about how they had been transferred to the new Facebook timeline but didn't like it and wanted to change it back. Everytime I click on my friend's profile it still loads up as the old style layout even though they now have the new timeline. I asked them if they're sure they have the new timeline and they sent me a screenshot of how their profile looks and they do have it, but for some reason it still loads up as the old profile when I try viewing it. When I go to their photos, there's an album there called 'Cover Photos'. I can see all my other friends' profiles that have the new timeline, apart from this one friend. When they change their profile picture, upload pictures from their mobile, update their status and comment on their friend's status or pictures it shows up in my feed. When my other mates have activated the new timeline it's normally come up in my feed like "*friend's name* now has the new timeline" but it didn't with this one friend. Does anyone know what could be wrong? I think it was last Friday they got the new timeline. Can you set it so that only certain friends can see your profile as the new timeline and others see it as the old layout or once you swap to the new timelime, does everybody see it as the new one?

  "under a week ago" means that is has not been automatically published yet - your "mate" is resisting publishing it, but after 7 days, it will be automatically published, and then everyone else will see it
