Blackberry Curve 8520 trackball problems?

• The other day I came out of the bath and held my phone with wet hands, at first the keypad did not work but eventually dried; but I then dropped my phone (i rarely drop it) and now my trackad doesnt scroll, it only clicks. I havent got a small enough screw driver to dismantle my phone, I can still message people with a few tehchniques i've learnt but is there any way of updating my status/personal message on BBM, and to be able to view other people's pm's? thats pretty much my only problem until I get it fixed

  First of all the 8520 has a Trackpad, not a Trackball. Ok, this problem is common to the Blackberry users, people get them wet or it falls down, the two things that happen the most. The Trackpad can get on your nervous some time when you see it scrolling by itself or not moving at all when you actually use it, I would suggest the first thing to do is to put it in raw rice for a day or two as we all know, that will dry the phone completely. If the Trackpad still doesn't work then buying a new Trackpad would be my next move, why? Because it's like $5 to buy and easy to replace with a video tutorial.
