Are you open to the idea of bullet train in the Philippines(Luzon to Mindanao)?

From Sorsogon to Northern Samar all the way to Eastern Samar then criss cross to Souther Leyte to Agusan del Norte and Agusan del Sur and stop over to Davao and back again to Sorsogon. In between the island is a bridge above water for the train to pass over. One is between Sorsogon and Norther Samar the second one is between Eastern Samar and Leyte. And the third one is between Southern Leyte and Agusan del Norte. I know this is known to be a very ambitious project. But a project that will benefit the entire country as a whole in the coming future. Why a bullet train you may ask. Because bullet trains are known to be the fastest in the world. Who needs ships and plains, when you have this for transporation of goods, personal effects and services to other parts of the Philippines. And the most expensive one too. In Japan it is called "shinkansen" having speed of 240-300 km/hr. imagine from Sorsogon you are having a sip of coffee inside the train and you haven't finish the whole cup you are already in Southern Leyte. Kung meron naglalaba sa Samar nun dumaan iyong shinkansen pag balik ng shinkansen uli pa uwi ng Sorsogon naglalaba pa rin iyon ale sa Samar. Why not harness this technology in the Philippines. We envy Japan I guess it is time we use their technology for your own benefit. I know you will ask about money. Actually Philppines have money. The only problem are the people that have access to it. Imagine the corruption during the time of Gloria the ZTE broadban deal alone is almost 1.5 billion, the fertilizer scam is about 778 million not to mentioned the other scam that surface during her time. So meron pera kaso nauubos lang sa paglustay sa walang katuturan. Shinkansen project like this would require 250 billion pesos, the infrastracture alone would be enormous and the technology would require us to hire Japanese engineers to construct the station and the flatform of this kind. In the end would give us the reach of the poor and marginalized sector of society in the Philippines. Are you open to the idea? Thanks2one and all.

Answer:
Yes. That's a good plan and I hope also there will be a bullet train to Cebu also from Leyte so my beloved mother can visit her youngest daughter ( my only sister) anytime she wants.

wow... what gave you that foresight when you don't know who you are? oh I forgot. you're speaking from the "filipino pride" background.

no, because putting bombs on train will be faster from mindanao to luzon
Yes, I agree. And that, I think, would be an engineering feat never before undertaken anywhere in the world. It could also become a modern wonder-of-the-world. Think of the bridge construction between islands. Think of moving tons of earth. Think of how long it could take to build. Then think about whether or not we have engineers qualified to do the design. Last and maybe the most important, where are we going to get the money? On second thought, I disagree.

Good idea, but not practical. The Philippines was an archipelago, so building the rails was way too expensive specially if it will cross island-to-island. look at this map of Japan: http://mappery.com/Japan-Bullet-Train-Map bullet train only serves 2 islands

This is one of the most absurd question I have ever read, and you the asker is insane. Have you not considered that the Philippines is being hit by typhoons every year and yet you want to build a railway that will cross the Philippine waters. Oh! only a No-Brainer could think of that.

THAT WOULD BE AWESOME!!! if it does happen I will quit my job and work with them save money so I can go on the train :)) I think it would bring more jobs and stuff for us filipinos, expand tourism too.... BUT like you said...access and land rights....it's going to cost billions and I'm not sure everyone will give up their land for it..... also there is the environment to think about.....most environmentalists etc. would be angry, putting a bridge or worse a tunnel damages marine life and there will be a big row about that! it would be very difficult
