Are uk qualification different to american qualfications?

I live in the uk and want a job with animals. I just want to know if the qualification i have is different level to american qualification. I currently hold Certificate of Higher Education in Zoo Management http://www.ucas.com/students/wheretostart/heexplained/coursetypes

I'd suggest doing a conversion course. It's not that the qualification is different it can be things like name/animals will differ in the states. If anything you're probably over qualified as its not that difficult in the us to go to college or graduate from HS. Fin out about a conversion course you also need to find a zoo who would be prepared to sponsor you for the visa and stuff.
