Are there any high paying desk jobs, that require a college degree?

Are there any decent jobs that don't require a college degree?

  • I finished my freshman year in college and didn't do spectacular and really didn't enjoy my time there at all. I'm hoping someone can give me some good job lists that don't require a college degree. (please don't say retail. I'm aware you don't need a Bachelor's in math to be a cashier.) I know Park Rangers don't require college, but I'd prefer something with less law enforcement. I'd love to work in a park though. Anything you can think of though might give me an idea. I'm very lost right now on what I want to do.

Unless you can start and head your own company or you fall into some sort of lucky position, most "decent" jobs nowadays are going to require some sort of education post-high school. Even a basic MA needs career training with a certificate/diploma. You've asked for help in the medical section, so in hospital jobs, you have receptionist, surgical scheduler, janitorial, retail, patient transport, *maybe* records, and *maybe* HR or billing. There are back office jobs that you can potentially go to with experience in front office within that company, but you'll have to put the time in and understand when you get passed by for people with degrees or certificates. The lowest certification will be about 8 weeks. And most patient care positions require some sort of certification.

There are many jobs which don't require a college degree, but do require some education. Many make as much or more than jobs requiring college: Plumber Electrician AC/Heating Tech Computer Network Engineer Welder Look up Bureau of Labor for others.

I don't know where you live, but the Park Rangers in my state require at least an Associate in Law Enforcement/Conservation Law and most have a Bachelors in something- be it Criminal Justice, Forestry, or something unrelated. Why don't you explore what your community college has to offer as far as degrees? Associates take about 2 years to earn and most are geared towards a certain career/area. Your question was posted in health care careers and there are many good Allied Health careers that start at 40K+ a year and require only an Associate Degree......Nuclear Med Tech. CT/Medical Imaging, Radiation Therapy, Respiratory Therapy, Rad Tech (x-ray), etc You will need some kind of formal, post-high school training to make a living these days...whether it's a two-year degree, a vocational school for a trade, or a formal apprenticeship. Many skilled trades pay (especially if union) pay very well....electrician, plumber, HVAC, agricultural/heavy equip mechanic, etc.....all can and usually do make 50K+ a year.

usa have a lot of imigrants who made a lot of money for collect food, maybe you learn how to work like them?
