Where can my friend and I go for President's Week vacation?

How to convince parents to let me go on a weekend vacation with my best friend?

• There is 2 more weeks of school left, and finals are not until the last week. My parents are crazy about school and grades, so I don't know how to get my parents to let me to go on vacation with my best friend and her family for the weekend. My parents dont usually let me go out unless it's like a break (summer break, holiday). But I really want to go and I want to know the best way to ask them and convince them. I'm planning on bringing homework and textbooks with me if i can go of course.

  It'll be easier to approach your parents if in fact: 1. you have good grades and attendance at school thus far 2. they know the friend you're going with If those are true, then start with that: "I have A's and B's in all my classes. I have 2 assignments due at the beginning of next week. I've received study material for the final exams, so I feel prepared academically. You know my friend and her parents. They've asked me to join and I would really like to do this." If they say, "We don't think so." Ask them, "What could I do to help you change your mind? I really want to do this." If they still say NO, you could write a short note, asking them to rethink it over and remind them that you're a good student! At one point, they may see your side! Good Luck!
