Can i claim compensation from Yodel delivery service?

• hi guys, first of all before i start im not a money grabber or one of those people out to get the world! its a long story but i will keep it short, basically i made a order using paypal for a matress topper and pillows costing about £60 and yodel was the company delivering it, i ordered it on the 24th of april and was expecting it on the 26th so i took the day off work (im self employed) i didnt get anything that day or the next so thought it must ahave been a dely of some sort, but 10 days later i have still not got anyhting. i have phoned them about 20 times and had so many lies from them its unbelievable, they said they delivered it to my address on the 26th which they didnt, the company took the driver for an interview to find out what happend to my parcel, he then claim he delivered it to a woman called claudia, where theres not a claudia in my street, then to say that he will redeliver it (but how if he had already sent it?) so i then wait a few more days and im doing all the calls spending alot of money for them to say its with my neighbour because i was not in when i was all day, there was no letter from them saying its with my neighbour, i then checked with my neighbour and they are a friend of mine and told me they have had nothing at all. many more phone calls later to find out that the driver is going to redeliver it again, which i dont understand, i took another day off work to find out the driver went back to the warehouse and said he delivered it to my other neighbour accross the road, but yet again i check and hes lied. the company have been terrible and keep covering for the driver, its either lost or stolen and the driver is playing games so that i wont bother with it anymore, yodel said that i have to claim it back through the company i ordered it which is fine but they wont answer any of my calls or emails so im stuck! the only reason i wanted to ask if i could claim is because i know its the only way i can get them to listen and take me serious, the only way you can hurt a company like that is to hit the pocket, i dont mind if the parcel has been lost etc but its all the lies and the fact im going to have a huge bill and also lost 2 days for being off work which is £100 a day please can anyone give me advice of what to do! o by the way i still dont have the parcel!

  If you bought the item over the internet then the responsibility for delivery is the sellers NOT YOURS You cant sue Yodel cos they are acting for the seller NOT YOU, so they are correct that you claim it back from the seller. YOUR fault is that you chased Yodel instead of just contacting the company and advising them of the non-delivery As well as doing as advised in previous answer Does the seller have their address on their website?. Check 1) that that address is a " real" address 2) that the company is actually at that address If so then you could raise a small claim against them and send it to that address
