Is free trade fair trade?

How does free trade and fair trade affect the economy?

  • Doing a project on it, i get what fair trade is about but how do fair trade and free trade clash?

  • Answer:

Free trade means there are no regulations on a market. A business will try to maximise profits without any regard to the environment, employees or the government. Fair trade clashes with this as it forces a business to pay above the the bare minimum
