Xbox 360 and watching movies?

Does streaming movies from the PC to the Xbox 360 slow down the internet?

• I have an xbox 360 slim with wireless internet installed into the xbox. I was wondering if streaming from the pc to the xbox would slow down the internet. I ask because my girlfriend has been watching a lot of streamed movies from the xbox and it seems like every time she does the internet slows a lot. I also just recently moved the room around and the xbox is in a new spot, and I was wondering if that might effect it in some way. Could these two issues combined slow the internet because we've streamed before from the PC to the xbox and I don't recall it slowing the internet down, but we usually did at night when no one was on the computer to complain so I don't know for sure.   It could just be the reception, I've noticed how my connection drops when I got the TV and amplifier going full bore when on the internet although it doesn't seem too bad at certain times of the day, particularly when it is not Prime Time meaning that there are not 50 billion other people using the internet.
