How can I stay friends with this girl? Do you think I should send her this message?

• She is now avoiding me in school and she is ignoring my text messages. I never told her I like her, but I think she knows. I want to remain friends with her. Should I tell her how I feel about her..or do I just tell her that I realise she doesn't feel the same way about me and I don't want her to feel awkward around me and I still want to be friend with her? How should I approach this? She is very independent and she may just not want a relationship right now. I was thinking of sending this message to her.. I thought that you liked me too , but I must have misread you. I think you are a really pretty, smart, nice, and overall just a great girl but I can tell at this point that the feelings are not mutual. I'm sorry if I came off as being clingy or awkward around you . I'm just a shy person and this would change if I was given the opportunity to hang out with you. Can't we just leave the awkwardness behind us and still be friends? I don't want you to feel uncomfortable around me anymore or feel like you have to avoid me anymore.

  i think your message is pretty mature. i would leave out a few lines of this bc they may come out a little harsh. also i would leave out that line with all the compliments, you don't want to make her feel even more uncomfortable if she doesnt like you. this is how i would edit it: Her name, I want to let you know that I was starting to like you and I care about you.
