Will my singing voice come back?

• I'm 14 years old and I used to sing all the time around the house and I had a great voice too but about a year ago my voice started to deteriorate after I sang a song for my friend over the phone. I honestly I strained my vocal cords even though my voice didn't crack or anything when I was singing, my throat felt it after. After that night my throat has been hurting nonstop. Whenever I talk or attempt to sing I my throat starts to get sore. I went to the ent for this and he said that I had acid reflux so I have to take medication for it. But honestly i dont think its all acid reflux i also think that my vocal cords are strained also and that contributes to most of my pain .But fast forward to now my voice has gotten a little deeper and I know that my range should change but Its like I can't sing anything I could before. I can't hit higher notes or belt anymore and if I tried I would crack and my throat would hurt really bad. I'm thinking about getting a vocal coach but my parents don't think it would work because they dont think anything is there. It makes me feel depressed to feel like this because I know at this moment I dot have it anymore and singing has always been the thing that I have always wanted to do and has cheered me up if I am sad. This is what unwanted to do for the rest of my life and this has stunted it. Any suggestions? Would a vocal coach help?

  I just asked a question similar to yours. I can't really help but I can tell you I'm going through the same thing. My voice hasn't gotten any deeper but my throat feels sore every time I try to sing. I tried singing Listen by Beyonce and I think that caused some strain. But hang in there. We'll figure it out.
