The side length, s, and apothem, a, are linked by the formula a = s*sqrt(3)/2 so if s = 16, a = 16*sqrt(3)/2 = 8sqrt(3) I presume you mean 8sqrt(3) not 8^3. The area of a hexagon is given by A = (3*s^2/2)*sqrt(3) if s = 16, A = (3*16^2/2)sqrt(3) = 384sqrt(3) in2 (answer b)
