Why end a play on a cliffhanger?

Why is it when I play the memorex cd-r in the ps2 close to the end it will say unable to read disc?

• what i am trying to do is make a slideshow of my wedding onto a dvd with a cd - r memorex i am using a laptop for this toshiba when the dvd plays in the ps2 close to the end of the slideshow it will say unable to read disc,but if i put in the ps3 it will be just fine and finish it through why is that?reason I am wondering and want to know how i can fix this is because i have family in cuba and i know if it is viewable in my ps2 it is viewable in their dvd player it doesnt help me much that it plays fine on the ps3 for that specific reason please help.thanks in advance.

  Hmm, I'd say the disc is probably fine if the PS3 and your laptop can play it. The PS2 was always really picky about the quality of DVD-R it'll read. Still, I'd test it out on a standard DVD player beforehand just to be safe.
