How do get a job before you move somewhere?

How do you move on when you don't get your dream job?

• Here’s the deal : in December, i was considered ofr an editor job at The Huffington Post. When time came for the final position, they picked another girl who was not more qualified but had a huge following on social media. I was bummed but the hiring manager who is a former manager of mine recommended me for another position as a news editor but they didn`t pick me because they thought I didn’t have enough experience. They ended up hiring a guy who has 10 years experience as opposed to my 5 years. it wasn't meant to be. My former boss promised to keep me in mind. I was sad but I moved on and eventually found a job as a web producer for a big media corporation. The pay me very well, my coworkers and bosses are awesome and the perks are fabulous. I’m very thankful to be working here and I really like my job, but everytime I hear the folks at Huffington post talk about thier travels and the stories they are covering, I get sad. It’s like I was so close and my accomplishments pale in comparison to the people who work there. My bf told me to let it go and focus on my amazing job because The Huffington Post doesn’t seem like it’s all that wonderful. I know I’m luky to have a good job in my industry and in this industry. What can I do to move on and stop being envious?
