Can anyone help me out to correct my statement letter?

Need help writing a business letter?

  • My company now allows our clients to print their billing statements off of our website as a way to "go green". Can anyone help me in wording a letter to send out to our clients to advise them of this new feature and also a response statement for them to sign stating that this is the service that they would prefer?

  • Answer:

Personally, I'd write from the perspective that the purpose of the change is to make it more convenient for the client. When I hear "go green," I think of something that costs twice as much and is inferior quality. My wife recently purchased a very expensive "high-efficiency" washing machine. It's "green" and is going to save the planet. It doesn't fill with water, it "sprinkles" and "spritzes" water over the clothes and spins around a little bit. It leaves the clothes dirty and leaves a ring of slime in the basket. It takes 98 minutes to wash a load. Looking at online product reviews, everybody hates these washers and they break all the time. I'd say something other than "go green," unless your clientele is already geared toward fawning reactions when they hear the term.
