Why is my vagina swelling?

all of a sudden the left side of my my vagina started itching, so naturally i itched it, then suddenly the left side of my vagina is completely swollen! what could it be?

there is a number of possible reasons for it, you havent provided much of an information so i can only assume what it could be, yeast infection? improper hygiene? herpes? urinary tract infection? give it a good washing 3 times a day, do this for at least 3 days and see if the swelling goes down.
