How much does it cost to have your teeth filed down?

Does it cost to get your teeth filed?

• I don't mean full-on transformation, just a little bit off of my two front teeth. They're kind of big, which makes smiling with my teeth make me feel uncomfortable. If I went to the dentist and asked them if they could file them down a little bit, would it be silly? I mean, is it a big deal that I have to pay for it separately or can it just be a quick thing? I'm a 15 year old girl by the way. Oh, and I might get my wisdom teeth taken out in a year or so, because they're growing crooked, pushing all of my other teeth together, making them really sensitive. They're not even out of my gums yet. If it is an easy thing to do, should I wait until after getting them removed so that the fact that my teeth are so sensitive won't hurt them? Or getting your teeth filed doesn't hurt? Thanks in advance.

  If you go to your dentist for regular check-ups and cleanings it would be no big thing for him to sit you in his chair and do a little bit of shaping for free. If its a couple of touches, should be no charge. If its more, where it also needs de-sensitizing medication then maybe a small charge would be in order. Sometimes being nice (by your dentist) pays off with more than money. Good luck.
