Does anyone know of a talent agency that would take beginning actors?

Talent Agency Advice?

• I have been acting since I was 8. I'm now 14, though I look younger. I am interested in finding a talent agency. I checked out Shirley Grant Management, does anyone know anything about it? Also, they asked for a cover letter, a resume (which they said I don't NEED) and a photo. Can anyone help me with this? I'm not sure what to write for the cover letter. I've gotten lots of lead roles in the acting classes I took, but I don't know if they care about that. I also take singing lessons and took dance. Which of this should I include, and should I put in a resume anyway? Also, I can't get professional head-shots. Does anyone have tips on how I can take a professional-looking head-shot at home?

  You need your parents to be involved, because agencies cannot enter into a contract with you unless you are at you states age of majority which varies from 18-21 in most jurisdictions. You will need an 8x10 head and shoulders shot as a minimum and it is recommended you develop a portfolio of shots with you in various costumes and situations. Make sure they are NOT sexually suggestive if you are serious about entering this business. Digital photos can be done at home just use at least a 5.1 camera or above. It takes effort and lots of work, don't be discouraged. I worked as a teenager and also worked at my dads Orange Julius until I got my break. Good luck!
