How is my revolution essay? How can I improve it?

• Here's my essay so far: What is a Revolution? At certain times, people may want a change in the way things are going; this is referred as a revolution. There have been a lot of revolutions that has happened in the past, each one may be categorised into a type, these include industrial, agriculture, political, liberal and many more. Revolutions may take place in a relatively short amount of time, some takes a long time. Some may or may not succeed. Each revolution must have a root cause to it, of why all this had to happen. The main cause to many revolutions is people being unsatisfied in the current situation. They think that things are now failing and the situation will not get better unless they revolt; which leads to more angry and unhappy people wanting to alter the current status. Furthermore, other causes could be that they want freedom, people want a new type of government, people want rights or that something important is unfair to the majority of people. One very major revolution that caused the whole world's population to increase is the industrial revolution. It began in Great Britain from the 18t h– 20th century. It then spread out to Europe and USA in the 19th century. Then, spreading further to India in the 20th century and the Silicon Valley in the 21st century. Right now, the revolution continues as an ongoing process in various countries. The industrial revolution began in Great Britain because they had the right raw materials that were easily obtained, the correct economic atmosphere; they had wealthy landowners who want to make more money and the right climate for agriculture to develop; the new engines were making workers out of work and it's political status were stable – it had the right markets for the products. Another major revolution that has happened is the American Revolution. This is an example of a liberal revolution. It gradually started out in the era of 1765 as a stand act. In 1770, there was a Boston massacre that went on. In 1773, the Boston Tea Party took place. Fighting started at the battle of Lexington and Concord in the 18th of April, 1775. The declaration of independence took place in the 4th of July, 1776; where the rights were written down for the human race back then. The whole battle officially ended in 1783 at the Treaty of Paris. The revolution started because the Americans thought that the British had too much control over them; the Americans thought that it was unfair for them to pay the heaps of taxes that were given to them, without their rights to elect their own representatives. A slogan which says "No taxation without representation" represents this point. Please help! Not just about the grammar, but the factual information. Thank You!

  You might want to go over some of the points you explain. I'm a bit of a Rev War nut, well, actually I'm a loyalist reenactor and historian, and I just need to point out that we did, indeed, have representation in Parliament with Will Pitt the Elder. We also were paying very minor taxes, like three cent tax for tea low, compared to the people in Great Britain who were paying glass taxes for windows. If you want to include this information in your essay, go for it! Otherwise, it's a pretty tight essay.
