What amp would you recomend for this subwoofer?

Subwoofer with built in amp , or Subwoofer with a separate amp?

The question is also: can you hold off until you have the money (if you don't have it already) for a separate Sub and amp set up? A separate sub and amp set up would give you a bit more flexibility, and if you have the budget, i think that would be a better way to go. Cadence is a good choice. If it was some no name brand I would have told you to look elsewhere. However I do love PWK enclosures. What's a PWK enclosure? Watch the Youtube clips. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u8yArcObFZI - 6.5" sub, and a professional installer thinks its "Two tens!" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bIBt0WjMn8A&feature=relmfu - This customer had two 12" MTX Jackhammer subs, and PWK designed an enclosure with two 8" subs, and the customer says "It hits harder than my Jackhammers!" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pd-I3KNzK1g&feature=relmfu - I'm not going to tell you the size of this sub. PWK gets the trunk lid vibrating, and the lady thinks its an 8" sub. At $60-70 (U.S.) I think its a good investment, and Pete will get more out of a sub than anyone I know ... and I design enclosures myself! Oh and BTW Pete subwoofer enclosure was used by Hybrid Audio Technologies (HAT), and HAT won the USACI 2011. I like how Pete ads that the four 6.5" actually replaced two 18" subs!!! http://pwkdesigns.com/?p=470 - USACi World Finals 2011 I know I've gone off topic slightly, but as a music and car audio lover, I want to make sure you get the best for your money. http://pwkdesigns.com/?page_id=95 - Project aassessmentform, when you order good luck

Nothing is perfect - Everything is a compromise - Same with subs. The combination unit will usually a bit smaller, & the amp will be sized correctly for the speaker. But, doesn't look as cool. The separate units will be a bit larger, BUT, because they are separate, you can stash the amp & mount the speaker in different places. Weather the amp & the speaker get along or not depends on you, so you'll need a bit better knowledge on the subject. Opinion: The single unit sub & amp is cheaper & easier to install, but maybe not as cool. What do you want ?? IF just some extra bass reinforcement, then get the combination unit. IF you're looking to hang with the loud crowd, you'll need the separates ...
