How do I get rid of blackheads and acne without products?

  • I want to try a product free routine. No acne products nothing because I feel like I've been using way too many acne products and my skin is now even worse. Has anyone tried it? Do you have any tips? How can I accomplish this?

  • Answer:

1- Acne Prevention: Benzoyl peroxide 5% You should find it in any shopping centers. http://188.120.254.79/acne-medication-with-benzoyl-peroxide/ 2- Only use products that are oil free, noncomedogenic, and won't clog pores on your skin. 3- Hide them -for minor black scars- with an oil free concealer while waiting for your skin to heal .

I got a bit tired of wasting money on "acne products". Here are some of my suggestions (this is what I do): Find a "soap" - some type of cleanser that does NOT contain any fragrance or alcohol. You might consider trying a plain glycerine soap...you just need something simple to cleanse your skin (face - twice a day; body - once a day). Use lukewarm water rather than hot. After cleansing, you can splash cool water on your skin (this has the same effect as a toner - it will help close your pores). It is also a good idea to exfoliate regularly. Exfoliating your skin will help remove dead skin cells that get trapped because of too much sebum (oil) on your skin - causing pores to get clogged...thus forming acne. How often you exfoliate depends on your skin type (this is where most people go wrong - they exfoliate too much and then it irritates their skin.) I expect you have oily skin. With oily skin, you should exfoliate 3-5 per week. (If you have dry or sensitive skin, only once per week; Normal skin would be everyday.) Finally, it you still get regular acne, one fairly inexpensive product that is quite effective at controlling acne is benzoyl peroxide (not to be confused with hydrogen peroxide). But, you need to use it on a consistent basis usually. Also, you don't need a high strength product (i.e. 10% benzoyl peroxide). Usually a 2.5% product is enough - if not, work your way up to 5%. If your skin is really oily, you can go up to the 10% but it is usually not necessary. One word of caution: BP will bleach clothes and sometimes hair so watch what it comes in contact with. Other suggestions that have helped my skin: drinking lots of water - this actually does help cuz it helps flush out toxins and watching foods you eat - they say that food doesn't really contribute to acne but you may notice after you eat certain foods, you will break out. This happens for me when I eat too much dairy. I didn''t completely stop eating dairy but i do limit it. Maybe you notice the same with fatty foods or whatever. Just pay attention to see if you notice something. Start slow and you'll figure it out - just watch your skin and how it reacts. it could take some time but if you're determined, I think you'll be able to control it by doing a few very simple adjustments. Good luck to you!!

DO THESE 4 STEPS TWO TIMES A DAY (MORNING & NIGHT): STEP 1 REQUIRED: Wash Face with warm water and cleanser. (Possibly 3rd time during the day, if super oily or sweating after exercise). Washing your face MORE THAN 2 or 3 times day can produce more oil, acne, and irritation! Using a special face brush has worked wonders for some acne sufferers - Go to Clarisonic website for more information! STEP 2 REQUIRED: Tone Face with liquid toner/astringent STEP 3 OPTIONAL: Treat Face with acne medicine (cream/gel) STEP 4 REQUIRED: Moisturize Face SUGGESTED NATURAL/MEDICINE-FREE PRODUCTS TO TRY Step 1: Purpose Gentle Cleansing Bar by Johnson & Johnson Step 1: Dial Gold Antibacterial Soap. The antibacterial ingredient Triclocarban found in Dial Gold Soap has helped some acne sufferers. Yes, many people say, never use SOAP on your face, but maybe this soap can help your acne. Step 2: Dickinson's Witch Hazel or Thayers Witch Hazel. Witch Hazel is gentle, non-drying, reduces bacteria/swelling, helps prevent acne, minimizes pore size. Step 2: Any brand of "Organic Apple Cider Vinegar With Mother". This type of vinegar will dry out pimples and help fade scars. (Using other types of vinegar will NOT work!). Some people use this vinegar full strength, but I recommend slowly building up to that because the acid in vinegar is strong which can burn and irritate skin. Dilute the vinegar, by mixing 50% vinegar with 50% water (use more water, if needed). When skin gets use to this product, you can SLOWLY decrease the water for a stronger effect. If you use this vinegar treatment, you do NOT need to use other acne-medicine products on your face! Step 4: Neutrogena Oil Free Moisture Step 4: Go to Amazon website and search "oil control moisturizer" and "oil control lotion" to find moisturizers that help reduce oil. Step 4: Lily Of The Desert Aloe Vera Gelly. This is 99% organic, contains vitamin A, C, E! Don't use other brands of aloe, has very little aloe and to much junk in it which can irritate skin! Aloe vera is gentle, helps renew skin cells, heals blemishes/scars. SUGGESTED ACNE-MEDICINE PRODUCTS TO TRY Step 1 Sulfur: Grisi Sulfur Soap Step 2 Glycolic: Prep Skin Refresher by Cellbone Technology Step 3 Sulfur: Pomada De Azufre Sulfur Ointment by De La Cruz Step 3 Glycolic: Alpha Hydrox Oil Free 10% Glycolic AHA by Neoteric Cosmetics Step 4 Glycolic: Neutrogena Healthy Skin Face Lotion Step 4 Glycolic: Reviva Labs Glycolic Acid Oily Skin Daytime Light Cream Moisturizer MORE IMPORTANT TIPS 1. If the acne ingredient SALICYLIC ACID (Beta Hydroxy Acid - BHA) or BENZOYL PEROXIDE is not healing your acne, try a product containing GLYCOLIC ACID (alpha hydroxy acid - AHA) or SULFUR. (Glycolic Acid will also help fade acne scars). 2. If you are going to use acne medicine, prevent irritation and dryness by using only ONE medicated formula! Decide which ONE formula will have the acne medicine in it: Cleanser, Toner, Treatment, or Moisturizer. The other 3 products that you use should be medicine-free. 3. Make sure face products are labeled OIL-FREE or NON-COMEDOGENIC so they won't cause acne! 4. Keep dirt and bacteria at bay to prevent breakouts! Don't rest hands on face! Don't let phone nor dirty oily hair touch face! Clean glasses often! Use a fresh clean pillowcase every night! Old makeup and makeup tools harbor bacteria, so use fresh makeup and wash/replace makeup tools often! 5. Drinking alot of water, eating alot of fruits and vegetables (especially foods that are rich in Vitamin A and Vitamin C), and doing at least of 20 minutes of aerobic exercise on a regular basis will control acne breakouts, help remove toxins, and deliver nutrients to the skin! Read the book, The Clear Skin Diet by Alan C. Logan & Valori Treloar. After exercising, IMMEDIATELY take a shower to remove sweat and dirt! YOU CAN READ THE CUSTOMER REVIEWS AND BUY ALL OF THE ABOVE FACE PRODUCTS, FACE BRUSH, AND BOOK AT AMAZON WEBSITE.

usually in the summer my acne starts to go away, i think it's from the sun. make sure to stay away from fatty/oily foods. drink a lot of water because water for your skin is like oxygen for your lungs. another thing is sleep! when you sleep, it gives your skin time to fight away the acne. ALSOOO when you use acne products make sure you put lotion on after because when the products make your skin dry, your skin will produce more oil to hydrate your skin, which clogs up your pores. hope this helped!!!!!!

Your right all these flipping products made my acne worse too! This site really opened my eyes to the fact that these products are all just big businesses! They just chuck in a few cheap dirty chemicals and we're so desperate and stupid enough to believe it will work! You should probably read that page too. http://www.acnetreatmentsystem.org/products/

You might need to make changes to your diet. Get rid of fatty foods and incorporate more healthy foods (fruits, vegetables, etc.) to what you eat. This could help with your acne problems. To get rid of blackheads on your nose, you can purchase "Biore Ultra Deep Cleansing Pore Strips". They work pretty well, I've used them in the past.

Use lemon juice! Get some fresh lemons cut them in half, squeeze the juice out of them and apply to your face, then rinse off. Also plain organic yogurt on your face as a mask soothes redness. Drink lots of water each day. Carry a waterbottle with you and you will be acne free soon. Give it time it works! Middle eastern women have used this for hundreds of years. Goodluck DON'T USE ANY CHEMICAL PRODUCTS.
