Could this pain be heart related?

Is pain when breathing deeply likely to be heart related?

  • I have been experiencing a localised pain in the right of my chest for a few weeks now. It occurs when I breath deeply and sometimes is present in my right shoulder. It occurs at completely random times, some days it happens alot, some barely at all. Today I thought I felt it in the centre of my chest but i'm not sure. I have been told by the doctor that it is not a pulmonary embolism and could be a virus, although by its random occurance i'm not convinced. Does this sound like the pain could be heart related?

  • Answer:

Typical cardiac chest pain isn't influenced by respiration so its muck more likely to be pleuretic chest pain.

WE humans cause ourselves damage all the time in ways that we do not remember......such as the elusive and very painful, soft tissue damage .....I was in a car accident, where the seatbelt saved my life. no bruises, no broken bones, But...the soft tissue damage from the seatbelt across my chest caused me pain like I actually broken all the bones in my chest.....no broken bones, but the pain was almost unbearable for 2 weeks.. Soft tissue damage might be the culprit.

Not at all, it's most likely your muscles. When you breathe in and your lungs expand they could be pushing against your chest cavity causing your chest to hurt
