Ideas for movie satire project?

• For english we have to make a satire project on pretty much anything we want. We can make a video, story book, poster, song, or anything else we want. The problem though is that my friend and i don't know what to satirize. We were thinking of something along the lines of grammar and how our generation has completely altered it and how we can not spell, use dumb slang, etc. but we couldnt come up with any good ideas for that so we decided to scrap it. Another idea we had was to make a parody of a movie or genre of movie, but once again were kinda stuck on what type to make fun of and how we would do it. I was thinking maybe making one on like movies like castaway and lord of the flies and alive or any other wilderness survival movie since they all seem to be very similar but i don't have any ideas on how to do that. If anyone has any ideas on any type of project we could do on any movie or movie genre or any ideas on how we could do the grammar thing that'd be super helpful!!! thanks(: oh and also, we have to have irony, parody, exaggeration, and incongruity in our projects and we have to promote social change

  Hey, like if totally every generation like totally changes grammer and everything. Like, we all totally do it to like totally leave our mark on how like everybody communicates. A satire on modern slang would have legs and would be easy to come up with some good jokes. Just pick your generation's slang. do u wanna b a mllenial? You like want to talk like Gen-X? The Baby Boomers Have an Interesting Way of Trying To Communicate and Make everything Seem Really, Really Important. You can go way, way back to the original hipsters daddio? OR DO YOU WANT TO TALK LIKE SOMEBODY'S GREATEST GENERATION GRAMPA WHO CAN'T FIND THE DAMN CAPSLOCK KEY? Parodies are nice but sometimes over done. Ok, check that. Parodies have been run into the ground over the last 20 years. If anybody pays the Wayans Brothers to make one more Scream movie, I'm burning down Hollywood. Certain topics make poor parodies. While Castaway or the original Robinson Crusoe could potentionally be lampooned, Lord of the Flies is a great example of a poor parody choice. Lord of the Flies is a "Deep Meaning" book, like Catcher in the Rye, Homecoming, Chocolate War or anything by Shel Silverstein. It is a common online meme/joke to show two blond girls making fun of books like Lord of the Flies by totally missing their point. Girl One, "I'm like totally Vegan, why would they even try to eat pigs?!" Girl Two, "Totally. And like why did they all just go crazy like that, why not just sit on the beach and have some mai-tai's or something?" You surely don't want to associate yourself with that image. A good satire is timely. It takes a news topic that people consider serious and point out that people are taking it TOO seriously. So some good ideas: The John Edwards trial is one. Government Spending and the bruhaha over the looming tax increases. Anything dealing with Hunger Games is begging for a joke right now, there are people who treat the film as if it deserves an Academy. It's good, but it is no Titanic. Spray Tan is perfect for some satire right now. Between Pregnant Snooki and that Oompa-Loopa looking chick taking her 5 year old into the tan booth, it is a topic with humor potential.
