Why is my hair falling out in streaks?

  • When I shower and wash my hair (once or twice a week in the winter/fall and about 3 times a week in the summer/spring), i see many streaks of hair (from the root) in the drain. I do use heat on my hair, the flat iron, and i have quite a few split ends. That still doesn't explain why my hair is falling out from the root? BTW, my hair has been thinning a lot as well lately, and its getting shorter with no explanation but the ends falling out... HELP ME PLEASE? After all, a woman's most divine treasure is her hair :( And I am 15 going on 16...

    The Reason is, Your Hair is Suffering from Intense Damage. It is The Effect of Too Much heat. Do Not Use Your Flat iron for A While. And Before You Put Too Much Heat on your Hair, Make Sure That You Sprayed a "Heat-Protecting Spray" To Your Hair. :)

Omg that's been happening to me too! When I started noticing it, I was really worried. I would comb my fingers through my hair and many hairs fall out. Then I read about it online a lot! It turned out to be natural because during teenage years, a lot of hair each day falls out. Hope This Helped. :)

Stop straightening your hair, that look is so 2010. Seriously..

its natural for some hair to fall out.. you might want to ask your hairdresser. it could be from stress though you could have alopecia, its a heredary disease that is cause by stress...my uncle has it, it causes your hair to fall out in clumps..some cases all your hair falls out...in my uncles cause he has absolutley no body hair due to this.

are you on new medications? birth control, any infection? my hair is very thin and has been falling out but i thought it was my birth control, come to find out i have a thyroid disorder... it is normal for 100 hairs to fall out a day from the root... anymore than that may be a problem check with your doctor....
